The Foundation for the Circular Economy will be present at the day "The challenges for a sustainable future in the Galician food sector", which the Food Cluster of Galicia (Clusaga) organizes, in collaboration with the University of Santiago de Compostela ·la (USC), next November 27 in the Ciudad de das Cultura de Galicia, from 3.30 p.m.
The day will have the presence and intervention of the High Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda of the Government of Spain, Cristina Gallach, which eIt will explain the actions and functions of the High Commissioner for the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) of the United Nations.
With the aim of learning about the challenges in terms of sustainability in the food industry, Àngel Matamoro, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility of Nova Pescanova, and Estefania Iglesias, Director of Sustainability at CAPSA FOOD and president of the Clusaga sustainability committee.
The need to adopt a change from linear to circular production processes will be addressed by Anabel Rodríguez, executive director of the Foundation for the Circular Economy. In addition, Manuel París, Manager of R+ D and European Projects of the Galician Innovation Agency, will explain the European project C-VOUCHER, the aim is to help SMEs in their implementation of circular economy solutions.
Prior to the closing ceremony of the day, which will be held by the Director of Environmental Quality and Climate Change of the Xunta de Galicia, Maria Creu Ferreira, and the High Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda of the Government of Spain , Cristina Gallach, there will be a debate open to all attendees to exchange impressions on sustainability in the food industry, which will be moderated by Estefanía Iglesias.
