Next June 3, the InnoDelta HACK starts, an open innovation initiative jointly developed by the town councils of Castelldefels, Gavá, Sant Boi de Llobregat, El Prat de Llobregat, and Viladecans, together with the Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) and the International Center for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE).
InnoDelta HACK's main objective is to promote sustainable logistics in the Llobregat Delta, through the search for solutions for the challenges posed by large companies in the area. Promoting the innovation and digitization of the territory's companies, it wants to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of the participants and position the Llobregat Delta as a center of innovation and transformative economic development. This initiative not only aims to address the current challenges of the participating companies, but also to establish the foundations for future advances in sustainable logistics in the territory.
The participating companies are American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM), the Association of Entrepreneurs of the Gavá Business Park (AEPEG), Lluch Essence, Mesoestetic, Tecnisample & Friobox, TXT and Bunzl. Each of these companies presents specific challenges related to logistics and sustainability in their operations.
Among the challenges raised are the automation of physical inventories in warehouses, the simulation of productive processes and stocks, the monitoring of movements and internal plant routes, the development of sustainable and reusable packaging, the real-time monitoring of the electric vehicle loading, documentary traceability to guarantee safety and reduce operating time, improving the critical path in material supply operations using big data and optimizing distribution routes in the last mile.
The InnoDelta HACK will take place throughout the month of June, participants will meet in groups to work on solutions, using the Network of InnoDelta Laboratories During these sessions, they will have the opportunity to advance their projects, interact with companies and receive masterclasses from expert mentors who will explain the new trends in sustainable logistics, circular economy and Industry 4.0 technologies
