The Economic Development Agency of the CON has issued a public tender to implement the program to boost the green and circular economy in the metropolis of Barcelona.
This program aims to promote the practices of industrial symbiosis, stimulating contact and intermediation between companies to #promote innovative collaborations in the metropolitan area.
In this sense, it is intended to promote a metropolitan model based on the maximum efficiency in the use of resources, which promotes the reuse of waste as new sources of materials and energy, taking advantage of the synergies within the same system. For example, a residue of a company in Sant Boi can become a resource that provides a second company in Montcada i Reixac.
The objectives that the Economic Development Agency of the CON wants to achieve with this program are the following:
- Analysis of the industrial ecosystem with a minimum of 3 projects per year
- Integration in a single database of the industrial ecosystem of the metropolitan area of Barcelona. It is about obtaining indicators and interrelated information that will serve for the development of new projects and new policies
- Specialized support at the disposal of the CON and the metropolitan municipalities that serves to advise the administrations in the development of actions to promote the green and circular economy, and the development of industrial symbiosis projects
- The maintenance of the platform of circular resources, increasing the information it contains. This tool concentrates information and resources on successful projects and experiences, with a compilation of information on professionals and good practices in this field. The budget for this tender is €72,600 including VAT and a one-year contract.
