The Waste Agency of Catalonia has an open call dAid intended for the removal at source of insulation and construction material waste that contains asbestos with the purpose of ensuring that the withdrawal is carried out under the appropriate conditions to guarantee the minimization of the risk that this material entails for public health and to achieve an environmental improvement of our environment.
Who can benefit from this aid?
Anyone can apply for this aid property owners that contain asbestos elements from construction, whether natural persons, public or private, and reports from neighbors. It is essential that the applicants comply with the requirements determined in article 3 of Resolution TES/1200/2019, of April 30, which approves the regulatory bases.
What is the amount of the grant?
The subsidy for the financial expenses derived from the removal and management of asbestos waste is of a monetary nature with a percentage of 100% of the invoices presented with a maximum of 6.000€ for subsidized action. Asbestos handling and removal must be carried out by a specialized company registered in the RERA register and the transport, management and treatment of asbestos waste through companies registered in the General Register of Waste Management Persons of Catalonia.

Until when can applications be submitted?
The November 29 of 2019 ends the deadline for submission of applications.
In what period should the action be carried out?
Eligible expenses incurred from the date of application for the grant up to 24 months after the date of resolution of the granting of the grant may be justified.
When and how should the subsidy be justified?
It can be done within a maximum period of 25 months from the date of resolution of the award and following the instructions established in section 14 of Resolution TES/1200/2019, of April 30 that approves the regulatory bases.
