It is organized by the town councils of El Prat de Llobregat, Gavà, Sant Boi de Llobregat and Viladecans, and has the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Barcelona.
The project pursues two main objectives: to define and implement in the territory a new model of local economic development based on the circularity and arrange of emblematic examples in the territory that can represent the importance of the implementation of strategies and actions linked to the circular economy.
Ecoindústria has celebrated two editions and, for the third, it has counted as a novelty with the participation of technological and knowledge centers, in order to favor the transfer of technology and enhance the global projection of the companies participating in the project.
During the Ecoindústria conference, presentations and dynamic and participative sessions with companies identified needs, opportunities and interests in relation to the circular economy. In addition, the participating companies have received individualized advice that has allowed them to draw up Roadmaps to start or improve their transition towards circularity, based on internal actions or industrial symbiosis relationships and collaboration opportunities between companies and knowledge centers.
